Common Weal Community Arts Respond to Racism Program –
You are invited to a community meal and Ally Affirmation workshop with poet, performer, and community educator Zoey Roy on Sunday, November 4, 2018. The meal will be served at 5:30 pm with the workshop to follow from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. During this workshop, Zoey will focus on sharing knowledge of the Seven Sacred Teachings and providing settler-based communities with tools for self-reflection and the language to articulate their allyship. She will encourage residents to find comfort in discussing racism, to feel motivated to self-reflect, and make a positive change in their own lives. For more information or to register contact Tara-Leigh Heslip. Call 306-695-2006 or email. You can also find more information about this event and Common Weal Community Arts on our Facebook page.
